PA to MD  Farnham 1832/6    £24k-£28k

A busy and demanding PA role supporting the MD who runs two businesses in the construction industry.

The successful candidate must have strong secretarial skills and be an intermediate level user of MS Word and Excel and be competent in the use of Outlook and PowerPoint. The duties and responsibilities in this role are varied and challenging and require an individual who has high productivity levels and is able to manage a variety of tasks and projects in addition to general daily duties.

Typical tasks will include managing an outlook and paper diary, typing short form reports, specifications, reports and tenders, formatting and amending document templates, typing general correspondence and file management. Preparation of tender packs for subcontractors and contractor proposals. Maintaining and updating information library. Co-ordinating snagging projects. Extensive liaison with architects, planning authorities, utility companies and clients.
The position will also involve providing cover and support for another secretary and acting as an interface between the MD and other individuals within the business.

Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be confident numerically as Excel is used extensively. Essentially MD requires a proactive individual who has strong, traditional secretarial skills, is able to take responsibility for specific areas of administration and be a positive ambassador for the business in his absence.
